Originally from Prince Edward Island, singer and songwriter Rose Cousins now lives in Halifax and tours internationally. This year, she was long-listed for the Polaris Prize and featured in publications including NOW Toronto, The Globe & Mail, Maverick, Mojo, USA Today and Oprah Magazine. Recent awards include Songwriter of the Year and Female Solo Recording of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards and Contemporary Singer of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Her new album “We Have Made A Spark” follows two multi-award-winning albums “The Send Off” produced by Luke Doucet, and “If You Were For Me” produced by CBC in Halifax.
